The capital of Myanmar's Kokang region, the nine-family refugee family on Old Street, is actively building their new home on a piece of land purchased by local churches.
All Arise Shine has the privilege of participating in this redevelopment, providing the need for up-and-down retaining wall works, materials for each home to build, and help with future furniture purchases.
Because of Myanmar's long rainy season, they are working together to build a solid retaining wall over the top of the house to prevent the soil from collapsing. The dirt slope beneath the house has also been covered with cement, arched up. In the future, some trees will be planted up and down the dirt slope, and grass is planted, and residents living in the area should ensure safety.
Let us wish these nine families have been living for many years, and in the next few months, there will soon be new homes available.
